What to Expect
-
Each Reiki session is 1 hour ($150-200). Reiki is life force energy that transmutes time and space (therefore virtual Reiki works just as well as in-person Reiki). The first 5-10 minutes include discussing your needs, intentions, goals for this session. Sessions may include breathwork, guided meditation and/or sound upon request (please request mini sound bath ahead of time due to instrument and technology set up).
-
People commonly report feelings of warmth. tingling, deep relaxation, emotional release, meditative/floating sensations, sleepiness, sense of calm and feeling rested. After sessions, it is common to want some gentleness, therefore having space and time to reflect and rest is welcome. It is also recommended to drink plenty of water afterward.
-
Reiki can be a complementary modality, used alongside other treatment modalities including during EMDR sessions, at the beginning or end of therapy, yoga or sound sessions. Reiki can support the integration of these modalities or be used separately. Please consult with Emily to explore what could work best for you.
