What to Expect
-
First intake session is 1.5 hours for intake + mini sound bath customized to fit your needs (sliding scale $220-300)
-
Sessions booked after intake are 1 hour for sound baths tailored to meet your goals and support your individual needs. Sessions may include breathwork and guided meditation (sliding scale $150-200)
-
Emily may use crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums, rain stick, Tibetan singing bowls and tongue drums in session, depending on your goals. These produce layered tones and vibrations. There is no movement, you typically will lay on your back or in a comfortable position, allowing your body to receive the sound healing. Emily will guide you into a relaxed state with some breathwork and a guided meditation to support your intention for the session then lead you into a sound bath with various instruments, using specific interval protocols to support your desired outcomes.
-
Experiences vary as people experience sound baths differently. You might feel a sense of deep calm, grounding and even fall asleep. You may feel heightened awareness of your thoughts and emotions or feel like you are "floating" or a sense of body heaviness. All of these experiences are typical, there is no "right" way to experience a sound bath.
-
This is a unique experience, and if anything arises during a sound bath, Emily can support you as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. It is recommended to book subsequent sessions afterward to support your integration. Sound healing can be a complementary therapy used alongside other treatment modalities Emily provides such as talk therapy, EMDR, Reiki and Therapeutic Yoga.
